Ten Of The Most Heated Beefs In Hollywood History

                                                                               1.
Jay Z vs. Solange Knowles
A recent altercation was caught on video between Solange Knowles, Beyonce’s sister, and Jay Z in an elevator at the Standard Hotel following the Met Gala on May 5. Solange’s temper flared when she hears rumors Jay Z is cheating on her sister. Speculation has him doing one or more of the following: flirting with Rachel Roy, flirting with a restaurant hostess, flirting with rapper, Liv, or partying with Rihanna. Jay Z took the beating in stride.

                                                                                 2.
Miley Cyrus vs. Selena Gomez
A possible new feud erupts between the young singers. Miley sang her song “FU” to a cardboard cutout of Selena, which she grabbed from an audience member, during her concert in Milan, Italy. Why would she diss her once friend? Does it have anything to do with Justin Bieber? Miley did hang out with him for a bit last summer…

                                                                                   3.
Chelsea Handler vs. Angelina Jolie
Even before becoming good friends with Jennifer Aniston, Handler was no fan of Angie, saying, “ I just don’t like Angelina Jolie. I don’t think she’s a girl’s girl. I like girl’s girls!” (usweekly) She also called her “a homewrecker” and makes fun of her in her standup act.

                                           4.

Kanye West vs. Jimmy Kimmel
Kimmel spoofed a BBC Radio 1 interview of Kanye West, in which the cocky musician bragged about being the number one rock star on the planet. Kanye took to twitter to slam Kimmel in several all caps rants, “JIMMY KIMMEL IS OUT OF LINE TO TRY AND SPOOF IN ANY WAY THE FIRST PIECE OF HONEST MEDIA IN YEARS.”  (mtv.com) (Perhaps he has the biggest ego too?)
                                                                                  5.
Kim Kardashian vs. Paris Hilton
The newly minted Mrs. West was not always top dog. Her Hollywood career began as a celebrity stylist and personal assistant to and friend of Paris Hilton. Kim’s star has risen to eclipse that of her former cohort causing some friction between the two former BFFs. Paris referred to Kim’s famous butt on a Las Vegas radio show as looking like “cottage cheese inside a big trash bag.” She also has refused to be filmed for the “Keeping up with the Kardashians” TV show. Perhaps, someday, when both girls are has-beens, this friendship will be rekindled.
                                                                                     6.

Duck Dynasty’s, Phil Robertson vs. Homosexuals
Phil Robertson sounded off in a very controversial interview with GQ Magazine. The one-time, 1960′s party boy found religion in the 1970′s, and believes homosexuality is a sin comparable to bestiality. Of course, this did not sit well with GLAAD who retorted that his words were “vile and extreme stereotypes”. A&E Network temporarily suspended him from the show, but brought him back for the sixth season claiming he is entitled to his beliefs, which do not affect his actions. He treats well the several gay members of the crew.
                                                                                   7.
Nicki Minaj vs. Mariah Carey
The American Idol Season 12 judges feuded on the show, earning a thumbs down for their behavior. During the auditions in Charlotte, North Carolina, Minaj stormed off the set following a disagreement with Carey over a contestant. That incident was not the end of the divas’ feud. Carey told New York radio station Hot 97, “It was like going to work every day in hell with Satan.” There was not doubt to whom she was referring.

                                        8.

Lady Gaga vs. Perez Hilton
The former friends took to twitter to air their grievances with each other. The feud began during an interview in which the celebrity blogger asked very critical questions about her new album, Born This Way, implying it was not a success. Alcohol may have fueled the fire.  During an appearance on “The Wendy Williams Show”, Williams asked the blogger, “Is there any chance for reconciliation?” He responded with  resounding “no.”
                                                                                    9.
Kanye West vs. Taylor Swift
Kanye makes the list again! Actually, his feuds probably could fill up this list, but the 2009 MTV Music Video Awards confrontation with Taylor Swift was a real doozy. He had the nerve to run on stage and  interrupt her acceptance speech to proclaim, “Imma let you finish, but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time. One of the best videos of all time!” The audience rightly booed this gross indiscretion.

                                       10.

Heather Locklear vs. Denise Richards
The rivalry between these two beauties was caused by probably the oldest reason in the book—jealousy over a man. Richards began dating Bon Jovi guitarist, Richie Sambora almost immediately after he filed for divorce from Locklear, ending their 13-year marriage. Many barbs were traded in the press between Locklear and Richards over this love triangle, but there is a happy ending. Locklear called Richards to give her blessing to the new couple. Since then, that relationship has ended, and Locklear was spotted vacationing in Hawaii with Richards earlier this year. Wow! To be continued……..

As far back as the Byzantine Empire chariot-racers, in 532 AD, (and probably since the dawn of man), rival groups and individuals have been feuding. One of the most famous, more recent rivalries was between West Virginia’s Hatfields and Kentucky’s McCoys, begun during the Civil War, and continued through several generations, resulting in many killings and injuries.
Celebrities are not immune to conflict. Let’s hope these scuffling stars can eventually resolve their differences and get together, a la the descendants of the Hatfields and McCoys who organized a joint family reunion in 2000, attended by more than 5000 people.
